Monday 2/28/11
Today students were offered an extra credit opportunity: extemporaneous speaking. Volunteers were given a random topic to speak about for 3 minutes. Topics ranged from ice cream to chemical reactions. This activity was an effort to train students to "think on their feet" and orally communicate their thoughts effectively. Eventually, students will be expected to stand and deliver a 3 minute extemporaneous speech about randomly chosen biology-related vocabulary terms and concepts.
